Family Support Service – Support for Families Affected by Addiction

At Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Community Addiction Team (DLRCAT), we understand that addiction affects the whole family, not just the individual.

Our Family Support Service provides a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for family members who are impacted by a loved one's alcohol or drug use.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, worried or simply looking for someone to talk to, we're here to support you.

We provide support with:

• Emotional wellbeing
• Coping strategies and practical responses
• Self-care and resilience
• Drug-related intimidation support
• Stress management
• Family and group support
• Information, advice and referrals to other services where needed

Our aim is to help family members feel supported, informed and empowered while looking after their own wellbeing.
